support training for the unemployed. Many
of our courses have been able to offer an
increased number of places as a result and
all full time ESF supported courses can offer
assistance with childcare as well as an annual
attendance bonus.
Eligibility is generally based
on post code information and is checked by the
college at application stage.
Beneficiaries who are ESF eligible are informed of their status and
of the benefits they can claim at the start of term.

WELFARE, GUIDANCE & COUNSELLING
Learner Services can offer impartial advice and
assistance with any situation that is interfering
with a learner’s studies, for example, financial
difficulties, accommodation problems, health
matters or issues of a personal nature. Where
necessary, learners will be offered a referral to
an external agency. The service is completely
confidential and available to all learners.
Learners at the College currently have access
to a counsellor from the Counselling Unit

encourages individuals to resolve their own
difficulties within the relationship with
the counsellor. Learners can make an
appointment by contacting Learner Services.
