KEY FEATURES

The aim of this course is to develop knowledge of the travel and tourism industry and to provide appropriate vocational skills to enable high quality service to customers in a wide range of tourism and travel organisations.

OTHER INFORMATION
Learners will have the opportunity to study languages as part of their course. Study visits will also be offered.

COURSE CONTENT
A selection of core units includes:

Structure of the Travel and Tourism Industry; Marketing; Providing Information on the Scottish Tourism Product; Customer Care.

A selection of optional units includes:

Optional units in Spanish, French, German and Italian are offered in addition to other options relevant to employment in the tourism industry.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
One Higher Grade pass at grade C or above, normally English or a relevant alternative and two other passes at Standard Grade (or equivalent) at band 3 or above; or completion of a National Certificate including Communication Higher and appropriate subject modules.
