KEY FEATURES
This HN course is designed to provide candidates with the necessary and relevant skills in the rapidly changing field of network technology. A wide range of technologies will be studied relating primarily to local area networks and server/client hardware and software. The HNC covers the knowledge and understanding required for the CompTIA A+ and a variety of Microsoft certifications including MCDST.

COURSE CONTENT
A selection of core units includes:
PC Hardware and Software; Client Operating System; Network Server Operating System; Networking Fundamentals.

A selection of optional units includes:
Supporting Users & Troubleshooting a Desktop Operating System; Supporting Users & Troubleshooting Desktop Applications.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
One Higher Grade pass at grade C or above and three other passes at Standard Grade (or equivalent) at band 3 or above; or completion of 12 relevant National Credits including at least Communication Level 3 and be obtained within one session. For learners with alternative entrance qualifications school policy applies.
