KEY FEATURES
The new course will specialise extensively in the technologies related to networks. A wide range of technologies will be studied relating primarily to local area network and wide area networks together with server hardware and software. An important feature of this programme is that it allows for the integration of vendor training courses covering Microsoft (various certifications including MCDST, CISCO (CCNA) and CompTIA (A+).

COURSE CONTENT
A selection of core units includes:
Network Server Operating Systems; Routing Technology, Internetworking Technology; Switching Technology; Network Fundamentals; Client Operating Systems; Internetworking Concepts.

A selection of optional units includes:
Network Infrastructure; Web Server Management; Network Concepts.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
Two Higher Grade passes at grade C or above and three other passes at Standard Grade (or equivalent) at band 3 or above; or completion of 16 relevant National Qualification units including at least Communication 3 and be obtained within one session. Any applicant already holding appropriate vendor qualification(s) may be eligible for exemptions from specific HN units.
