KEY FEATURES

The course is designed for hairdressers seeking an advanced certificate which will develop their creative hairdressing and technical knowledge and give them the opportunity to gain skills in portfolio building, selling and computer aided design.

OTHER INFORMATION
Learners will be required to buy relevant items of professional equipment and clothing essential to the course. Course will run subject to there being a requisite number of participants.

COURSE CONTENT
The units includes:
Creative Design in Hair Cutting; Colour Correction and Innovative Design; Communication; CAD: Graphic design; Employment Experience; Hairdressing Graded Unit; Principles and Practice of Selling.
A selection of optional units includes:
Long Hair Design; Preparing and presenting a business plan; Alter the Shape of Hair by Temporary and Permanent Techniques.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
Successful completion of SVQ/NQ Hairdressing Level 3 or equivalent NQ units or a minimum of 5 years industrial experience. Candidates must be employed in the Hairdressing industry.
