KEY FEATURES

This course provides an introduction to the theory of the principles of book-keeping and training in its practice and application. No prior knowledge is assumed.

COURSE CONTENT
Preparation of business documents: sales invoices, purchase invoices, sales credit notes, purchase credit notes, cash discounts, trade discounts, all with VAT. Completion of books of prime entry: cashbooks, sales and purchase day books, returns day books, journals for purchase & sale of fixed assets, correction of errors & bad debts. Posting of ledger accounts: books of prime entry using double entry principles, balancing off accounts thereafter. Trial Balance: extraction of balances, suspense account.
