KEY FEATURES The NC in Administration is an updated and vocational award which will prepare learners for a wide range of employment opportunities. The aim of this course is to equip learners with the crucial skills and knowledge which will allow them to pursue a career as an Administrator in the business environment. Assessments during the course are ongoing and involve both practical and theoretical tasks.
COURSE CONTENT A selection of core units includes:
Information Technology; Word Processing; Front of Office; Central Services; Managing your Time and Resources; Handling Business Documents; Researching and Preparing Presentations; Event Organisation; Communication.
A selection of optional units includes:
Spreadsheets for Administrators; Skills Development for Administrators; Audio; Human Resources; Administration; Recording Cash Data.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS A minimum of three standard grade passes at grade 3 or above (or equivalent), one of which should be English.
Learners who successfully complete the course will be considered for entry to various HNC/D courses across the College, e.g. HNC/D Administration and Information Technology. For those learners who may not wish to progress immediately to further study, the course also equips you with practical and vocational skills which provide opportunities for employment in the administrative function in a range of businesses.
