KEY FEATURES
The aim of the certificate is to provide the skills appropriate to the pursuit of a variety of careers in industrial, commercial or public sector organisations. The range of destinations to which the certificate holder can aspire is diverse. Careers in industry, banking, insurance, civil service, and the distribution sector are typical outcomes. As a first step, a significant number of learners progress to the HND Business and then onto degree programmes at university.

COURSE CONTENT
A selection of core units includes:
Marketing; Business Accounting; Management; Information Technology; Communication, Economics, Graded Unit 1 (Exam).

A selection of optional units includes:
Developing the Individual in a Team; International Marketing, Managing a Small Business, Personal Financial Services.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
One Higher pass in an appropriate subject such as Business Management, Modern Studies, Economics, History, English or NQ in Business or appropriate NQ with passes in Communication, Law, Economics and Finance.

PROGRESSION

Successful completion of the course can lead to trainee positions in management or team leader within industry and commerce. Progression to HND Business 2nd year is also available or entry to a range of degree courses either 1st or 2nd year.
