This is a new National Qualification and certificate which gives an excellent introduction to education and training for those who wish to follow a career in Health and Fitness.
On completion of this course, learners will have attained a recognised National Qualification.
The course will provide underpinning knowledge of many aspects of exercise, sports and fitness. This will include Fitness Training and Exercise Physiology.
COURSE CONTENT A selection of core units includes:
Contemporary Fitness and Exercise Training Methods; An Introduction: Developing Leadership within Physical Activities; Human Anatomy; Physiology and Physical Activities; Nutrition, Health and Wellbeing; Teamwork through Sport and Recreation Activities; Communication; Information Communication Technology; Sporting Activity Participation and Performance: Alpine Skiing; Sports Officiating and Organising - Recreational: Badminton.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS There are no formal entry requirements for this course. Entry will be determined following an interview with the Course Leader. Applicants should be physically fit and display good communication skills.
