SVQ Level 2 Instructing Fitness and Health - Gym Instructor - Practical

KEY FEATURES

Principles of resistance and cardiovascular training, screening, circuit training teaching skills, use of CV machines, fixed and free weights, benefits of personal exercise perception, health and safety.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
A reasonable degree of fitness and experience in using a gym. Candidates must have passed SVQ Level 2 Instructing Fitness and Health theory paper.

PROGRESSION
Successful completion of Theory and Gym Modules and in possession of a current recognised First Aid Certificate, candidates may look to gain admission to the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) at level 2 in Gym Based Exercise. To achieve the full SVQ 2 award, within a year, the candidate must successfully complete and submit a workplace portfolio, gathering evidence of teaching experience with a variety of clients.
